Vashishtha Guha (cave)
"Vashistha Guha" is an ancient Ashram and meditation place on the rocky banks of the Ganga. The Ganga valley nearing Vashishtha Guha (cave), about an hour upstream from Rishikesh, near Gullar approx. 6 Kms from Shivpuri. There is also a cave near by called the "Jesus cave".
Ganga Aarti
You can also visit the evening Ganga Aarti (prayers) at some of the ashrams in Rishikesh.
Parmarth Ashram is one such place. You can reach Parmarth Ashram by crossing the Ram Jhoola.
Luxman Jhoola to Ram Jhoola
If you have time then take out half a day for the following plan:
Reach Luxman Jhulla from Tapovan side, cross over to the other side and walk down the road that goes parallel to the river all the way till Ram jhoola. A very peaceful walk with lot of ashrams and a few road side vendors. Just before Ram jhoola you can stop over at the famous Chootiwala restaurant to have a late lunch.
After that you can proceed to the Parmarth Ashram (Parmarth Niketan) for the evening prayers. Remember prayer start depending on the sunset time during that time of the year. So check the timings with the locals there.

Kunjapuri temple visit
Drive to `Kunjapuri` temple (24 kms from Rishikesh, via Narendranagar and Hindolakhal). `Kunjapuri` temple (1665m) is dedicated to Goddess Durga. Enjoy first views of the legendary Himalayan peaks of Banderpoonch, Chaukhamba, Nanda Devi, Trisul from the temple.
